Nestled just minutes from the beach and the center of Deauville, Villa Augeval embodies the timeless elegance
of Norman architecture. Its two listed and carefully preserved half-timbered villas, painted in almond green,
bear witness to the seaside heritage that gives the resort its unique charm.

A family adventure since 1979

The story begins with Michèle and Gérard Montier. He was head bartender at the legendary Hôtel Le Normandy, and she worked in the loan department of the Caisse d'Épargne (savings bank). Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, they took a bold gamble in 1979: acquiring a villa that had been converted into a restaurant, La Flambée. Success followed.

In 1986, they opened their first hotel, then continued their development with passion and high standards. In 1993, Villa Augeval joined the family business. This remarkable late 19th-century residence, where Gilbert Bécaud is said to have stayed, retains its period façade and authentic charm.

In 2004, a second adjacent villa was added to the complex, which is now connected by an elegant veranda.

Since then, the story continues.

Today, Villa Augeval is run by one of the daughters of the Montier family. With the same high standards and attention to detail, she perpetuates the spirit of hospitality instilled by her parents: a hotel on a human scale, where guests are received as if at home.

This family tradition gives Villa Augeval a special soul. Here, hospitality is not a marketing concept, but a culture.

Preserving heritage, respecting its environment

Classified as a remarkable villa, Villa Augeval has undergone renovations that respect its original architecture. The fireplaces, the spaciousness, and the elegance of the facades have been preserved, while the bedrooms have been redesigned to offer contemporary comfort.

In line with this desire for preservation, the establishment is taking part in a progressive eco-responsible approach: controlled management of energy consumption, reduction of waste, local partnerships and raising awareness of more sustainable mobility.
